BI Developer Analyst for the HR Analytics Team

The People Analytics team studies and analyzes the products and processes that ensure the day-to-day work of the company and its employees: hiring, adaptation, and further development at Yandex, business trips, benefits, meals, personnel matters, product analytics, and employee surveys.

We are looking for a developer-analyst who will continue to develop the suite of dashboards and analytical tools with key HR metrics. This is needed so that team leaders, top managers, HR analysts, and HRBPs can make the right decisions based on data.

What tasks await you

Data preparation and analysis You will gather data about employees from various sources, using both ready-made marts from the DWH model and raw data, devise from scratch, improve, or replicate existing methodologies for calculating key product and function metrics, search for insights and test hypotheses, and form tasks for data engineers regarding populating the data model and the Data Quality process.

Development and support of DataLens dashboards You will delve into already implemented tools, improve them, and audit them for compliance with internal BI standards, providing ongoing support. In partnership with business customers, you will create new solutions for various HR analytics areas, work out usage scenarios for key user groups (employees, managers, leaders), present your solutions, and develop them using feedback and documentation development. You will also raise the overall team level in the BI direction, developing and supporting custom solutions using JavaScript.

We expect you to

• Can describe the structure of a BI tool, for example, DataLens, Tableau, or Power BI, and show examples of your visualizations
• Understand the BI development lifecycle, including Data Vis principles, and have experience implementing full-cycle projects
• Regularly use SQL and other tools for data collection and processing in your work
• Are ready to master DataLens in a short time if unfamiliar with it, including implementing custom solutions using the JavaScript language
• Think systematically and analytically, can present results, and communicate with the customer in the language of business metrics

Will be a plus

• Have used Python analytical libraries for data processing
• Are familiar with the specifics of HR analytics or have worked in this field
• Are proactive, not afraid to propose changes, know how to implement them
