Hi! VkusVill is one of Russia's largest FMCG retailers focusing on healthy eating and a tech-driven mobile app experience. Search is a critical entry point for millions of purchases daily. We are looking for a senior PM to transform the search stream into a measurable driver of revenue and retention.
What you will do:
- Own the product strategy for search: from ranking quality to conversion and LTV impact.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to develop and iterate ranking models.
- Build a culture of experiments within the search stream: correct hypothesis formulation, metric selection, working with metrics at the application level.
- Ensure a measurable contribution of the search stream to top-level business metrics (GMV, retention, basket width) through holdout experiments and incremental methods.
- Interact with recommendation, catalog, and personalization teams.
- Manage a cross-functional team (ML, frontend, backend, analytics, research, design) without direct reporting lines.
- Communicate priorities and results to the CPO and top management, defend the roadmap based on data.
Our candidate:
- Has 4+ years of experience in product development, with 2+ years in search, ranking, or recommendation systems in e-commerce, marketplaces, or mobile super apps.
- Understands ML systems well enough for meaningful dialogue with the team: comprehends precision/recall, loss functions, cold start problems, etc.
- Has extensive experience with A/B testing.
- Thinks in terms of incremental impact, not assisted conversions: understands the difference between correlation/causation in product metrics.
- Can persuade stakeholders without hierarchical authority through data, narratives, and systems thinking.
- Knows how to focus the team on a few key priorities, rather than spreading resources thin.
