VkusVill store chain is looking for a Product Owner to turn the search stream into a measurable driver of revenue and retention.

Responsibilities:

• Own the product strategy for search: from ranking quality to conversion and LTV effect.
• Develop and iterate on ranking models together with ML engineers.
• Build a culture of experimentation in the stream: correct hypothesis formulation, metric selection, working with metrics at the application level.
• Ensure a measurable contribution of the stream to top-level business metrics (GMV, retention, basket width) – through holdout experiments and incremental methods.
• Interact with recommendation, catalog, and personalization teams.
• Manage a cross-functional team (ML, frontend, backend, analytics, research, design) without direct subordination.
• Communicate priorities and results to the СРО and top management, defend the data-driven roadmap.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has 4+ years of experience in product development, including 2+ in search, ranking, or recommendation systems in e-commerce, marketplaces, or mobile super apps.
• Understands ML systems well enough for meaningful dialogue with the team: understands precision/recall, loss functions, cold start problems, etc.
• Has extensive experience with A/B experiments.
• Thinks in terms of incremental contribution, not assisted conversions: understands the difference between correlation and causation in product metrics.
• Able to convince stakeholders without hierarchical authority through data, narratives, and systems thinking.
• Knows how to focus the team on a few key priorities, rather than scattering resources.
