What you will do every day:
- Search for new promising projects, reviewers, translators, and illustrators.
- Write technical specifications for artists, texts for managers, and advertising texts for your projects.
- Organize interaction with contractors within the entire editorial chain: from business plan preparation to submitting the publication for printing.
- Check the editing performed by freelance employees.
- Coordinate edits with translators / authors.
- Resolve complex proofreading issues.
- Participate in book promotion programs: fairs, thematic events, promo parties.
- Prepare a competent USP for the work, considering the target audience's needs: create original series titles, annotations, slogans, and cover compositions.
- Monitor the regular content and deadlines for pre-press operations for each manuscript in your assigned segment.
- Regularly familiarize yourself with book brands, ratings, and the assortment of stores and fairs.
- Track sales of books in your assigned segment, know the competitor market.
- Handle contracts and other documents carefully and on time.
- Participate in the formation of the group's budget.
- Fill out the master plan; update the release of your assigned niche, considering the legislation of the Russian Federation.
- Timely send manuscripts for review; remove or return a manuscript to the plan based on the review results.
Who we are looking for:
- A candidate with higher education.
- A candidate with experience in publishing, with experience launching book projects;
- A love for Asian comics is mandatory.
- Desire to work in a team, ability to find common ground with colleagues from different departments.
- Proficiency in English.
- Attentive, literate, punctual, a little anxious, and definitely not indifferent.
