We're hiring a Lead Applied AI Specialist to drive AI in a high-load document processing product. You'll work with 3 strong AI engineers set technical direction, and build production systems end-to-end.

What you'll do:

• Design & deploy agentic pipelines, RAG, multimodal document processing (OCR, PDF parsing)
• Build scalable inference with vLLM, batching, caching, streaming
• Work with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) + custom models (PyTorch, HuggingFace)
• Own quality, latency, cost, observability (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Ship features – from experiments to production, with CI/CD (Docker, Cloud Run, Terraform)

What we're looking for:

• Strong Python, microservices
• Production experience with model serving (vLLM or similar) – you've deployed your own work
• Hands-on experience with agentic systems
• Deep knowledge of RAG, retrieval, embedding pipelines
• Experience guiding other engineers (no babysitting – you're a guru)
• Autonomous, great communicator, fluent English

Nice to have: GCP, OpenTelemetry, OCR/PDF expertise, inference optimization
