Yandex is one of the few companies in the world operating hundreds of petabytes of data. This data needs to be stored, efficiently processed, and transferred between various systems. Our team is looking for a specialist who will help solve low-level network stack optimization tasks.
What tasks await you
- research and optimize the operation of the TCP stack;
- help implement new technologies, such as QUIC;
- develop our simulation modeling systems.
We expect that you
- are not afraid of advanced mathematics;
- are proficient in C, C++, Python, or Go;
- have experience in building simulation or emulation systems;
- have a good understanding of the principles of operation of modern congestion control algorithms;
- know English at a level sufficient for comfortable communication with representatives of foreign companies.
Will be a plus
- have developed monitoring systems for TCP/QUIC transport layer protocols;
- have worked with NS3 DCE;
- know what eBPF is and know how to use this technology for fine-tuning the network stack.
