Yandex services are used by millions of people every day. By supporting the operation of many high-load services, we have built and operate Russia's largest data center network.
We are looking for a Network Engineer Expert to join the Network Research and Development group. You will help design and automate processes on the data center network, develop the backbone that connects them, and gain unique experience in these areas.
What tasks await you
- Participate in redesigning the existing network architecture
- Test new network solutions
- Implement new technologies and standards
- Develop technical documentation
We expect that you
- Understand the principles of building large data networks and the operation of core routing protocols
- Can document developed network designs
- Have developed test plans and organized testing of network infrastructure before commissioning
- Are familiar with packet switching technologies, the structure and internal architecture of modern packet switching systems, and the operation of QoS mechanisms
- Know one of the programming languages popular in the Unix environment (Python, Go, etc.) and can apply this knowledge to automate routine tasks
- Have experience in diagnosing complex data networks
- Understand the principles of incremental project development and are not afraid of cross-team interaction
Will be a plus
- Experience with SR-MPLS or SRv6
- Experience with SONiC
