Largest Retailer | Project — Logistics Scaling
We are looking for an architect who can handle both business processes and the solid task setting for development. You will work with large volumes of data and warehouses.
Mandatory Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a functional consultant in implementation and development projects for warehouse and transport logistics management systems (WMS, TMS, distribution center management), including experience in independently leading a functional area;
- Knowledge of warehouse and transport business processes: receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory, master data management;
- Experience in surveying customer processes and designing functional solutions: both developing existing functionality and implementing new functionality;
- Experience in gathering and formalizing functional and non-functional requirements, preparing task specifications for development;
- Experience in conducting functional testing: preparing scenarios, verifying enhancements, documenting issues;
- Experience in describing business processes using BPMN and UML notations;
- Proficiency in the Vectura Framework (VFW) platform in terms of configuration: setting up objects and their fields, status models and transitions, access rights, reference data, report forms;
- Ability to read Go and JavaScript code to a sufficient extent to analyze system behavior and set tasks for developers;
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL for independent data analysis;
- Experience in maintaining project documentation in Confluence or a similar wiki.
Project Tasks
- Interact with the customer's technical and business departments: collect, clarify, and agree on requirements for developing existing functionality and implementing new functionality;
- Survey customer processes, identify discrepancies between business needs and current system capabilities, and propose solutions;
- Develop and discuss solution options with the customer, evaluate their impact on related modules and processes, and agree on the chosen option;
- Design the functional solution and prepare task specifications for development – both for new functionality and for changes to existing functionality – hand it over for implementation, answer clarifying questions from developers, and support the task until completion;
- Participate in estimating the scope of work, task prioritization, and delivery planning;
- Configure the platform in areas not requiring development: configuring objects and fields, status model, access rights, reference data, report forms;
- Conduct functional testing of implemented enhancements, document issues, and monitor their resolution by developers;
- Conduct demonstrations of implemented functionality to the customer and ensure acceptance of the solution;
- Analyze incidents and problems, determine their cause and nature: software defect, data error, configuration issue, or user operational issue;
- Document implemented changes: update process descriptions, user manuals, and project documentation in the customer's wiki;
- Manage tasks in the customer's tracker and provide periodic reports on your activities to direct and functional managers.
