Finance Director / CFO | Almaty

A large medical company in Almaty is seeking a Finance Director / CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of the company's financial strategy for a 3-5 year horizon;
• Formation of the company's financial model and long-term forecast of key performance indicators;
• Management of consolidated budget formation and execution processes: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow;
• Management of liquidity, capital, financial stability, and business profitability;
• Control of compliance with prudential norms and requirements of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM)/National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Interaction with regulatory bodies and representation of the company's financial interests;
• Financial and economic assessment of new products, investment projects, CAPEX investments, and potential M&A transactions;
• Development of internal regulations, financial rules, accounting policies, and financial risk management procedures;
• Setting tasks for automation of management accounting, financial reporting, and analytics;
• Providing the CEO and owners with regular reports and recommendations on financial results, budget, cash flows, risks, and further company development.

Requirements:

• Higher economic/financial education;
• Minimum 15-17 years of experience in finance, with significant experience in leadership positions;
• Experience in large businesses, preferably in insurance, financial sector, medical insurance, or related fields;
• Deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, liquidity management, capital, and profitability;
• Experience with IFRS, including IFRS 17, financial reporting, and financial modeling;
• Knowledge of prudential regulation principles and requirements of the ARDFM/National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Experience interacting with government bodies and the financial regulator will be a significant advantage;
• Practical experience in developing financial strategy and long-term financial models.
