Location: Almaty Work Schedule: 5/2 Eligibility: Open to local (KZ passport holders) only

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the company’s overall financial strategy, supporting business growth and long-term value creation.
• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and shareholders, providing financial analysis and recommendations on investments, capital allocation, and business performance.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term business planning.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and Kazakhstan statutory requirements.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, lenders, auditors, and financial advisors.
• Lead financing initiatives, including debt and equity fundraising, and support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes across the organization.
• Oversee treasury, tax compliance, liquidity planning, and foreign exchange risk management.
• Monitor asset performance, capital expenditures, operating costs, and project economics.
• Lead and develop the finance team while ensuring systems, processes, and capabilities support future business growth.

Requirements

• Senior finance leadership experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or similar executive-level role.
• Proven experience within the upstream Oil & Gas industry, preferably with an operator or independent E&P company.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, treasury, taxation, audit, and corporate governance.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and international financial reporting standards.
• Experience in corporate finance, fundraising, capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations.
