At Yandex Plus Funtech, we are looking for a Head of the In-Service Acquisition and Upsale Team.
Yandex Plus Funtech is Yandex's subscription business hub and one of the largest subscriptions in Russia. Plus combines music, cinema, books, games, and dozens of other services, making access to the ecosystem simple, beneficial, and personalized. The team is creating the future of subscriptions — exploring new growth points, changing processes, and launching large-scale initiatives.
The In-Service Acquisition and Upsale Team is responsible for one of the key growth loops of Plus's subscription base within Yandex services — from organic and offer strategy to launching product mechanics, developing paywall and CRM scenarios, as well as new distribution channels within the ecosystem. They are looking for a leader to head this direction: someone who will set the growth strategy, define priorities for the year ahead, and turn complex cross-service opportunities into scalable mechanics.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic management of the direction: You will be responsible for the strategy of in-service acquisition and upsale within Plus: forming a long-term vision, decomposing goals into initiative roadmaps, and selecting growth points across services and segments.
- Formation of offer and product strategy: You will need to define the approach to offers and product growth scenarios: choosing which mechanics and entry points to develop, how to work with new, reactivated, and existing users, which scenarios to scale, and which to stop, based on increment, LTV/CAC, and impact on the subscriber base.
- Responsibility for acquisition KPIs and growth quality: You will be responsible for organic acquisition and upsale KPIs: analyzing funnels, identifying systemic causes of decline and growth potential, managing a portfolio of hypotheses, and ensuring not only the volume but also the quality of acquisition in terms of economics and long-term base value.
- Interaction with stakeholders and management of cross-service changes: You will work with heads of product, analytics, CRM, and service teams, negotiate distribution and resources, defend the direction's priorities, and launch initiatives that will impact Plus's growth across multiple ecosystem services simultaneously.
Requirements:
- At least seven years of experience in strategy, growth, product, or general management roles in technology companies, consulting, investments, or fast-growing digital businesses.
- Proven experience managing strong teams and being a leader for top specialists: setting direction, developing people, and maintaining a high level of responsibility without micromanagement.
- Experience with digital products with a large audience; experience in subscriptions, ecosystem services, or growth directions will be an advantage.
- Ability to form a growth strategy, translate it into a set of specific initiatives, and manage a project portfolio under conditions of limited resources and high uncertainty.
- Strong analytical and economic skills: ability to calculate unit economics, estimate increments, understand product and marketing funnels, and make data-driven decisions.
- Confident influence over key stakeholders, ability to negotiate priorities and resources, defend complex decisions, and rally cross-functional teams around yourself.
