Our project has about 50 employees, active development, constant releases, and high responsibility for the stability of internal systems. Who we are looking for: We need a Project Manager who can not only manage boards and meetings but truly manage the process: identify problems, ask the right questions, work with metrics, facilitate communication, document agreements, and help the team move forward in uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Managing IT projects and tasks within the team.
• Managing projects end-to-end: discovery → plan → development → releases → support.
• Forming and agreeing on goals, requirements, and success criteria with the client/stakeholder.
• Planning work (roadmap/sprints), managing risks, dependencies, and changes.
• Organizing team work: assigning tasks, prioritization, monitoring deadlines and quality, unblocking issues.
• Managing projects in a task tracker (Jira): Structure, statuses, transparency.
• Mandatory Jira administration experience: Schemes, fields, permissions and groups, analysis of subscription and payment sections.
• Controlling delivery quality: coordinating QA, accepting increments according to checklists.
• Organizing and controlling task execution using the Kanban approach.
• Handling incoming urgent tasks and priority changes.
• Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting project metrics.
• Facilitating meetings: planning sessions, syncs, retrospectives/reviews, working discussions.
• Preparing summaries of meetings, decisions, statuses, and agreements.
• Escalating risks, problems, and blockers to the appropriate level.
• Interacting with the team, stakeholders, adjacent departments, and clients.
• Analyzing the current state of processes, tasks, problems, and workload within the department.

Mandatory Requirements

• IT work experience – from 5 years (commercial).
• Minimum of 3 completed or significant projects in the role of Project Manager or related roles.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with analytics in the context of managing projects, teams, tasks, and processes.
• Ability to work under changing priorities and with urgent tasks.
• Meeting facilitation skills.
• Ability to document agreements, prepare clear summaries, and maintain communication transparency.
• Ability to delegate responsibility, involve necessary participants, and escalate problems, rather than taking everything on oneself.

What will be a plus

• Experience working with Scrum/Kanban teams.
• Experience setting up or analyzing metrics in Jira.
• Understanding of velocity, capacity, throughput, cycle time, lead time, WIP limits.
• Experience with active sprints and tasks added after the sprint has started.
• Ability to honestly communicate nuances and limitations of tools, rather than creating an illusion of perfect reporting. Contact: @Nbagama
