Technical Writer (IT Infrastructure / Network Documentation) for VK Project (Email System and Messenger)

🕹 Conditions Experience as an IT Technical Writer: from 3 years Location: Russia (remote) Salary Range: up to 135 thousand rubles under employment contract, up to 170 thousand rubles under sole proprietorship agreement. Project Duration: long-term employment Work Format: fully remote

The VK project involves documenting IT infrastructure, network solutions, and information systems for the email system and messenger. Development and updating of a complete set of operational, project, and architectural documentation.

📝 Responsibilities — Development, updating, and maintenance of technical documentation for IT infrastructure and network solutions — Preparation of administrator and operator guides, technical regulations, and instructions — Creation and maintenance of: logical/physical network diagrams, data flow diagrams, data transmission network topologies, integration interaction diagrams — Development of network interaction matrices between IS, services, network segments, and information security tools — Interaction with network engineers, DevOps, architects, system administrators, and information security specialists — Analysis of technical solutions and transformation of engineering information into structured documentation — Participation in IT infrastructure implementation and modernization projects

🔍 Requirements (Mandatory) — At least 3 years of experience as an IT Technical Writer — Experience in preparing documentation for infrastructure and network projects — Understanding of corporate IT infrastructure construction principles — Knowledge of network technologies: TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, NAT, routing and switching, firewalls, load balancing — Ability to read and analyze network configurations and architectural solutions — Practical experience in developing: network diagrams, architectural diagrams, integration diagrams, network interaction matrices — Proficiency in tools: Microsoft Visio, Draw.io (diagrams.net), Lucidchart (Miro is a plus) — Experience working with documentation in Confluence, Wiki systems, or similar — Proficient technical Russian language, ability to structure large volumes of information

➕ Will be a plus — Experience documenting information security solutions — Knowledge of GOST 19, GOST 34, ESPD requirements — Experience in import substitution projects — Basic knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox — Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift principles — Git skills
