This role sits within our Dating vertical. The Dating Framework (DF) is the powerhouse behind two of our most distinctive apps: POPCORN and FET. These multi-platform products (combining web & app) are designed for alternative lifestyles and open-minded communities, blending social features with gamified dating experiences and heavily subscription-based models complemented by ads monetization.

About the Role

As AI Product Builder – Monetization, you will own and drive improvements across our two primary revenue streams:

• Subscriptions (new subscriptions and renewals across web and app)
• Consumables (token/points purchases within web and app)
• Advertising Monetization (optimizing ad placements, formats, fill rates, and overall ARPDAU across web and app)

Your mission is to improve key monetization metrics and unlock sustainable, long-term growth, by combining strong product fundamentals with AI-powered product building. You’ll move fast from insight → prototype → experiment → scaled capability, helping us adopt modern AI-native ways of working.

What You’ll Own & Drive

💡 Monetization Strategy & Ownership

• Own the monetization strategy for POP & FET across subscriptions, IAP/consumables, and ads.
• Define and evolve pricing models, paywalls, bundles, upsell mechanics, and lifecycle monetization flows (web & app).
• Balance monetization goals with user trust, retention, and long-term value.

🧠 AI-Native Product Building

• Use AI to accelerate the full product loop: research → PRDs/user stories → prototypes → experiments → iteration.
• Create fast prototypes (e.g., paywall variants, onboarding/checkout changes, offer screens, pricing experiments) using AI-assisted workflows and low-code/engineering collaboration.
• Translate business goals into precise experiment specs, event tracking needs, and acceptance criteria at speed and with high quality.
• Help the squad adopt repeatable AI workflows that increase velocity and quality (e.g., drafting test plans, copy variants, experiment readouts, instrumentation specs).

📊 P&L, Metrics & Decision-Making

• Own monetization KPIs and P&L in collaboration with Data and Finance.
• Track and optimize metrics such as ARPU, ARPPU, LTV, churn, conversion rates, and payback.
• Use data to drive prioritization, investment decisions, and roadmap trade-offs.

🧪 Experimentation & Growth

• Build and maintain a structured experimentation framework (hypotheses → A/B tests → learnings).
• Lead paywall, pricing, and offer testing in partnership with Design, Data, and Engineering.
• Scale successful experiments into long-term product capabilities.

🛠 Product Ownership & Delivery

• Own the Monetization Squad backlog, roadmap, and sprint goals.
• Write and validate high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead sprint planning, reviews, and backlog refinement together with the Agile Growth Operator.

🤝 Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Act as Squad Lead for the DF Monetization Squad.
• Provide clear direction, prioritization, and context to the team.
• Collaborate closely with DF Brand, Acquisition, Retention, Data, Ads, Finance, and Leadership.
• Represent monetization in DF-level and Group-level product discussions.

🚀 What You Need to Succeed

• 4–7+ years in Product Management / Product Ownership, ideally in consumer-facing or subscription-based products.
• Proven experience with subscriptions, IAPs, pricing, and paywall optimization (web and/or app).
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, PostHog, Superset, Firebase).
• Familiarity with monetization tooling (preferably Adapty; alternatively RevenueCat, Qonversion, Purchasely).
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
• AI-native product building mindset: you regularly use AI to increase speed and quality in product discovery, specs, prototyping, experiment design, and execution.
• Ability to own business outcomes, not just delivery (revenue, LTV, conversion).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

🌟 Bonus Points

• Experience in dating, social, marketplace, community-driven products or gaming.
• Familiarity with ads monetization (web and/or app).
• Understanding of mobile app ecosystems (App Store / Google Play pricing, renewals, cancellations).
• Basic acquisition knowledge (attribution, ROAS, funnels) to collaborate effectively with Acquisition.
• Experience working in remote, international teams.
• German language skills.
