Junior Data Engineer

What you will be doing:

• Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Writing SQL queries for data extraction
• Monitoring data quality and alerts
• Working with Jira/Confluence
• Documenting processes and pipelines
• Participating in code reviews (at a reading level)

We expect:

• Databases: SQL (writing medium-complexity queries), understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
• ETL/ELT: basic understanding of pipeline building principles, experience with Airflow or similar tools
• Programming languages: Python (pandas, basic scripting) or Scala
• Tools: Git, Docker (basic), understanding of cloud storage principles (S3, GCS)
• Understanding: data architecture, storage formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON), queue principles (Kafka)
• Analytical thinking: finding the causes of data anomalies, logical approach
• Attentiveness: data quality control, finding inconsistencies
