About the team

We share the expertise of the Avito Data Science team with students and are launching our own educational programs. We are looking for a person who loves education, understands ML, and will help us create interesting and useful courses. You will dive into how Data Science work is structured in various directions at Avito, in order to find and package the best practices and pass them on to students, and you will work with our strongest experts.

Examples of future tasks:

• prepare data, cases, projects for Avito's educational courses;

• assist instructors in preparing educational content (lessons, lectures, homework assignments);

• format presentations for lectures and seminars using ready-made templates;

• verify practical assignments for clarity and sufficiency of description, correspondence to the students' knowledge level, estimate the time required for completion, etc.;

• regularly communicate with teams and find interesting projects we can talk about;

• if desired, independently conduct lectures and seminars.

We expect that you:

• have an academic background (from a master's degree);

• have at least one year of experience implementing ML solutions, including experience with DL tasks for texts and/or images;

• are proficient in Python;

• have experience using both relational and non-relational databases;

• know how to annotate data for your tasks.

It would be great if you:

• have worked at a top university in a department or laboratory;

• have teaching experience.
