Lead Communication Designer at Yandex Crowd

Yandex Crowd is a large infrastructure service of Yandex. We transform complex processes into scalable solutions at the intersection of people management and technology. Our projects include:

We have launched our own crowdsourcing platform, Yandex Tasks, helped train Alice in Arabic and even in whispering, participated in the launch of YandexGPT, and in many other Yandex projects.

We are looking for a colleague who will shape the visual language of the brand, visible to millions; is ready to break patterns — from identity and merch to 3D animation; knows how to turn "just beautiful" into "beautiful and smart," connecting creativity with technology; sees design as a communication tool, and AI as a co-author of their ideas. What tasks await you

Forming and developing visual brand languages You will shape the visual language of our brands (B2B, B2C, HR brand) and develop them. Maintain integrity and find new forms and techniques, create creative concepts for digital communications and offline events. Form and develop a design system that allows scaling communications.

Art direction and creative leadership You will develop briefs and set tasks for junior designers in the related team and external contractors. You will need to oversee key communication projects, guide a remote team of junior designers in finding fresh ideas. It is important to set up processes so that the team works with high quality and in a unified style.

Influencing results and explaining decisions You will present visual solutions to management and key stakeholders, convincingly argue visual approaches and influence design strategy, maintain communication with other teams, and ensure brand integrity across the entire ecosystem.

Independent creation of concepts and visual solutions You will independently create visual solutions: develop key visuals for key special projects, brand styles and logos, landing pages (Figma), presentations, banners, and creatives. In addition, you will work on key exhibition stands and develop merch design.

We expect that you

• Have worked as a lead communications designer for more than three years
• Have developed brand books from scratch and understand how to develop a brand according to business goals
• Master visual design at an expert level and know how to create expressive concepts
• Use various AI tools, are interested in the tech agenda and trends
• Are attentive to details, meet deadlines, effectively plan resources
• Are proactive and care about what you do
• Can work under tight deadlines and change solutions without losing quality
• Can take on art direction: set tasks for junior designers and contractors and control the quality of execution
• Can convincingly present ideas and influence product strategy through the visual part
