We are looking for a Director of Industry Analytics (Macroeconomics) at Sber.
The team is a think-tank combining expertise from economics and corporate finance to the development of AI solutions for analytics. The goal is to build continuous, personalized, proactive AI-native analytical support through the synergy of accumulated expertise and Gen AI.
Responsibilities:
- Building AI systems for market / business / GR / technology / science intelligence — seeking insights, not just compiling news
- Intellectual contribution to the development of multi-agent Gen AI systems for analytics in the financial sector of the economy (universal banks, investment and corporate banks, retail banking and consumer lending, private banking and wealth management, insurance, asset management and pension funds, brokerage and exchange infrastructure, rating agencies, FinTech and payment systems, leasing and factoring, debt and equity capital markets)
- Formulating positions in independent expert opinions — providing an independent view on industry assumptions and the logic of valuation models
- Foresight of long-term shifts in the financial sector of the global and Russian economy
- Preparing analytical reports and presentations for top management
- Working at the intersection of technology and business: transforming data into solutions
- Maintaining an external expert network for the financial sector of the Russian economy
Requirements:
- Higher education (economics, finance, mathematics, or technical)
- 10–14 years of experience in an investment bank, strategic consulting, or a strategy/corporate development division of a large financial institution — at the VP / Director, Principal / Associate Partner level
- Deep expertise in 1–3 segments of the financial sector — minimum 6–10 years of focused work as a sector expert
- Possess a level of professionalism that allows for quick and high-quality immersion into any other segment of the financial sector — depth in own segments as an indicator of the ability to structurally master new ones
- Verifiable authorial track record: published research reports as the lead author, project work results, or analytical memos for C-level executives — at least 5–7 artifacts from the last 5–7 years
- Developed external expert network in the financial sector; readiness to maintain and expand it
- Genuine interest in implementing artificial intelligence in analytical work and proven results of implementation / effective use of Gen AI in practice
