Mandatory requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role;

Algorithms and Data Structures:

• Ability to assess algorithm complexity;
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures from a standard course; - Familiar with assessing the performance of standard library data structures;
• Familiarity with advanced algorithms: probabilistic, external memory algorithms, graph algorithms.

Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics:

• Limit theorems and the ability to apply them;
• Experience in hypothesis testing, knowledge of bootstrap and A/B tests, as well as variance reduction and identification of causal relationships.

Machine Learning (ML):

• Understanding of ML algorithms and approaches;
• Ability to effectively adapt them to solve problems when necessary;
• Ability to build models from standard components;
• Understanding of the stages of ML solution development and readiness to make changes to the project architecture;
• Understanding which business metrics need to be monitored for the model;
• Ability to propose proxy metrics and loss functions related to business metrics;
• Ability to roll out a simple model into a pilot, implement a method from a paper, integrate a component into an existing pipeline.
• Familiarity with less common ML methods (e.g., Bayesian models/PGM/VBI, RL, etc.).

Model Operations (MLOps):

• Ability to fit a model once, check if it's alive on demand, update and deploy any necessary software in the cluster;
• Ability to version models, data, and monitor model performance and data quality.

SQL:

• Simple queries (select, group by, window functions);
• Query optimization experience.

Programming and Engineering:

• Ability to translate ideas into clean code that will be executed and read;
• Ability to use git;
• Ability to write tests;
• Ability to understand and effectively debug someone else's code;
• Basic understanding of all architecture components.

Working with Databases and Big Data (DB & BD):

• Industrial experience with multiple systems;
• Knowledge of the internal workings of systems used in the work;
• Experience in optimizing computations/queries, transactions/ACID/Indexes.

-Ability to decompose clear tasks;

• Independently find solutions or use existing approaches for clear tasks. Additional Stack and Requirements ** Tasks: **- Development of code and tests in Python, participation in team development, participation in code reviews;
• Development and modification of existing component designs as needed;
• Preparation and validation of training data samples for the implementation and support of mathematical models for big data products;
• Calculation of A/B test results, design of A/B tests;
• Implementation of modern machine learning and data analysis methods in big data products;
• Deployment of models and services within the company's infrastructure (hadoop/k8s/airflow);
• Writing SQL queries, query optimization (spark, in particular);
• Proposing ideas for improving models/approaches;
• Proposing proxy metrics and loss functions related to business metrics;
• Monitoring the compliance of the results of big data managers in big data product releases;
• Technical implementation of data science solutions in departmental products;
• Formulating data requirements for the development of mathematical models within big data product releases;
