Executive Producer of Expeditions/Travel Producer
Hi! This is Igor – the founder of the "Dari Edu" charity foundation and an avid car traveler. My team and I are actively developing my personal blog about car travel across Russia. We are creating large-scale, uncompromising content about automotive expeditions, equipment, motorhomes, and survival in extreme conditions.
Who we are looking for:
We need a strong, systematic, and stress-resistant Executive Producer (Travel Producer). This is a key person who will fully cover the organizational logistics, work with characters, and integrate locations. You will be responsible for bringing the script and expedition route to life: from obtaining permits for a restricted nature reserve to picking up a top blogger in a motorhome in the middle of the taiga.
Detailed functions and responsibilities:
- Working with characters (Bloggers + Local Heroes): Constant scouting, casting, and attracting both established bloggers/influencers and unique local residents (local guides, colorful old-timers, experts, stringers).
- Conducting negotiations, "selling" the project, agreeing on participation terms, controlling the signing of contracts, NDAs, and filming permits.
- Creative logistics and route planning: Full development and management of the logistical route map (timings, meeting points, transfers, coordination of the film crew's movement in conjunction with the project manager and channel author).
- Searching for and integrating non-standard creative solutions into the route: how to connect a wild location, equipment, and a character into a single exciting story.
- Location production: Preliminary contact, negotiations, and obtaining official permits for filming in complex, restricted, or closed locations (national parks, factories, private territories, nature reserves).
- Micro-briefs (MTR) and influencer content control: Developing clear briefs for invited bloggers for their personal cross-promotion (what and when they should publish on their social media). Strict control over the fulfillment of obligations and "chasing" ready content by deadlines.
- Process management and delegation: Independently building logistical chains (ticket purchases, hotel/transport booking) and delegating these tasks to an operational assistant. The producer controls the final result, rather than handling routine ticket purchases themselves.
- Administration and team support: Acting as a united front with the Project Manager on internal coordination issues. Assisting in task distribution among existing team members (design, technical part, editing).
Candidate requirements:
- From 2 years of experience as an executive, line, or travel producer on major YouTube projects, reality shows, TV channels (like "Pyatnitsa!") or in large event agencies.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. The ability to negotiate with anyone – from the agent of a capricious top blogger to the lighthouse keeper on the Kuril Islands.
- Basic understanding of the dramatic structure of YouTube, Instagram*, and TikTok content.
- Rock-solid time management skills, understanding of road logistics, maps, and the specifics of autonomous expedition movement.
- Readiness for a high pace of work and stress resistance in case of force majeure on the route.
Conditions:
- Full-time employment, remote work format.
- Collaboration with an experienced project manager and Project Manager.
- An operational assistant is assigned to handle routine tasks (booking, tickets, document collection) under your supervision.
