About the Role
As a Social Media Producer, you’ll be one of our content creators on the Creative Strategy and Content team. You’ll be involved in producing video content for social platforms that aligns with the business objectives set by Communications & Public Affairs. Your main focus will be creating visually compelling content, with audience relevance as a key performance indicator.

You are passionate about the Disney brand and have experience with all aspects of social media. Active engagement across various social platforms is a must for this role. Experience with gaming and an understanding of fan communities will be a strong plus.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with a team that values flexibility, creativity, optimism, courage, and collaboration.
- Help manage content projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, consistency, and creativity that cuts through the noise.
- Develop creative concepts and scripts for video and/or photo content.
- Produce content with full ownership: from shooting and editing to publishing within tight deadlines.
- Be a key participant in content shoots, assisting with videography and/or photography, lighting, sound, and team coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and provide creative input.
- Own time management: track hours spent on projects and communicate challenges to leads.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the asset library.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and develop original content concepts—both timely and evergreen—that align with brand, product, business priorities, and social media/visual communication trends.
- Exercise discretion in handling assigned projects and professional tact in every interaction.
- Demonstrate an innovative mindset, creativity, and thoughtful integration throughout your work.
- Stay current with the latest social media trends and emerging platforms (including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube, and TikTok) to better develop creative and innovative content strategies and campaigns.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with or experience in video and/or photography production and post-production processes.
- Experience in social media, content production, and/or a related digital marketing field.
- Proven video editing skills (photography skills are a plus).
- Experience in visual storytelling and creating engaging, impactful content for social media.
- Strong creative, original, and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
- Clear vision and understanding of direction in concepts and creative, while remaining flexible and receptive to feedback and edits.
- Passion for the Disney brand and its values.
- A solutions-oriented approach and ability to adapt easily to change.
- Effective time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with gaming communities, livestream formats, and gameplay-driven storytelling will be a huge plus!
- Professional content creation experience.
- Ability to articulate and clearly defend your point of view.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Premiere, After Effects).
- Broad understanding of the role of social media in today's society and its business applications.
- Ability to navigate a complex organizational structure.
- Experience writing social copy for various social media platforms.
- Knowledge and understanding of social media Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

- Salary Range: The pay range for this position in California is $65,300.00 to $87,500.00 annually. The final offered base salary will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
- Bonuses & Benefits: Compensation packages may include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, along with a full spectrum of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on level and proposed role.
