Responsibilities:
Strategy and business development:
- Formulate and implement the company's long-term strategy, taking into account trends in robotics, IoT, and computer vision
- Expand priority product areas and markets, manage the project portfolio and resource allocation
- Build partnerships with government and industrial customers, integrators, research organizations, and urban services
- Ensure revenue growth, profitability, and market share, control the achievement of KPIs
R&D and technological leadership:
- Manage the R&D department: set goals, monitor development stages, ensure the fixation of results and their implementation in production
- Oversee the work of R&D teams, laboratories, and design bureaus; ensure continuity between research and serial product
- Control the formalization of R&D results: technical documentation, reports, patenting, intellectual property protection
- Monitor the compliance of developments with technical requirements, industry standards, and regulations
Product cycle and implementation:
- Ensure the end-to-end process from idea to implementation: concept development, prototyping, testing, certification, serial production, pilot implementations, and scaling
- Manage project deadlines, quality, and budget, implement project and product management practices
- Coordinate interaction between R&D, production, operations, and product teams for timely product launches
Finance, budgeting, and cost control:
- Formulate annual and project budgets, including R&D budgets; control execution, optimize costs, and increase R&D efficiency
- Manage investments, evaluate project payback, build a KPI system for costs and results
- Ensure the transparency of the financial model for product areas and profitability control
Operational management and team:
- Lead top management, build organizational structure, distribute areas of responsibility and authority
- Interact with the IT team on product software development
- Foster corporate culture, support an innovative environment and team motivation
- Ensure compliance with information security, data protection, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Higher education. Education in IT, automation, electronics, robotics, and related fields will be an advantage
- Proven cases of creating and bringing a competitive product to market
- Experience in leadership positions in high-tech companies (preferably in robotics, IoT, computer vision, or industrial automation)
- Strong cross-functional interaction skills (including with an IT team of 20+ people), ability to build processes between R&D, production, and operations
- Proven R&D management experience: successful cases of fixing results and their implementation in production, experience with patents and technical documentation
- Understanding of the full product creation cycle: from idea and technical specification to serial production, certification, and operation
- Strategic thinking, ability to make decisions in conditions of uncertainty and rapid change
- Leadership qualities, ability to motivate and develop a team, foster a culture of innovation
- Experience in applying complex IoT systems will be an advantage: sensors, communication protocols, data collection and analysis, integration with urban and external services; experience with distributed systems
