Your responsibilities:
- Working with the game balance of mobile games in Google Sheets – economy, combat system; both maintaining existing calculations and creating new ones
- Utilizing Google Sheets features for faster balance work (e.g., formulas, scripts, etc.)
- Working with project analytics, identifying problem areas and opportunities for balance improvement
- Inputting balance data into the project – filling in configurations (json), participating in the creation and development of tools for working with configurations
- Collaborating with the project team (primarily with developers, analysts, game designers, and producers)
What we expect from the candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in creating and supporting the balance of mobile Free-to-Play games. Experience with mid-core projects is desirable (Strategies / RPGs will be a plus)
- Experience with Google Sheets (understanding formulas, creating readable linked tables, etc.)
- Experience in automating processes for game design/balance tasks will be very useful (e.g., devising an algorithm for the logic of a new feature, simulating game behavior and evaluating results, automating routine time-consuming tasks, etc.)
- Experience working with json configuration files
- Flexibility and openness to new ideas (you will have to test many different hypotheses and find the best solutions)
- Initiative (we highly value people who constantly propose improvements to both processes and the game itself)
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and probability theory
