Demand Planning Systems Leader at Mars
Mars is looking for a Demand Planning Systems Leader.
The key task of the Demand Planning Systems Manager is to participate in the development and support of the demand planning department's systems, support the assembly of the DMR process, provide technical support for the organization's quality business planning, and optimize business processes.
What you will do:
- Support the assembly of the DMR process for the Mars Wrigley segment within the S&OP+ process:
- Consolidate and provide data on both historical performance and forecasts on a periodic basis, and validate them
- Maintain the relevance of data reference files
- Analyze data to support forecasting and S&OP+ processes
- Monitor sales forecast accuracy, identify deviations and their causes
- Build cross-functional interaction with Supply Planning, Finance, Sales Revenue Management product and operational teams to ensure timely data exchange and maintain stable processes
- Create and maintain analytical reports and tools for the Demand Planning department
- Work with BI tools and SQL for data visualization and reporting automation
- Analyze the need for business process revisions
- Participate in the development and support of Demand Planning systems, including:
- Manage support processes and incident resolution in the demand planning system (L1–L3): support key users and end-users in resolving system incidents, resolve cases within SLA, interact with partners and adjacent teams, analyze incidents and develop measures to reduce them
- Train new users on system operation, maintain a knowledge base (video tutorials, presentations on key planning steps), identify user knowledge gaps, conduct training sessions, ensuring users can operate the system confidently without FE assistance
- Update technical documentation in case of technical changes (CIP)
- Timely reflect business requests in the system, including mass changes in master data, reloading and validating history after master data changes
- Initiate system enhancements based on business process changes
- Collect and formalize requirements from business stakeholders and support teams, translate them into technical specifications for developers, assess the feasibility and complexity of changes, and approve the necessary budget
- L1 support for end-users regarding reporting – data validation, incident correction with the support team, processing requests for new tools, developing workarounds for planner and business requests
Requirements:
- Higher education (mathematics / technical / financial and economic)
- Experience in planning / forecasting (client planning or new launches) or in a Product Manager / Product Owner / Business Analyst role or a similar IT position
- Strong analytical skills, knowledge of demand planning methodologies and analytical methods for analysis and forecasting, ability to work with large volumes of numerical data
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query), basic programming skills (SQL queries, Python, etc.) are desirable
- Strong communication, presentation, and expectation management skills
- English language - pre-intermediate
- Experience in implementing system products or complex enhancements, writing test scenarios and acceptance criteria for system changes, conducting UAT testing, and writing business requirements for the system will be an advantage
