Almost all design dies beautifully. It looks good in a meeting and doesn't make it to the product.

We are looking for a designer for digital products of a major bank in the Middle East. International team, digital transformation, large banking ecosystem.

Format: full-time, three months.

About the job

Design here lives within a large organization: processes, regulatory restrictions, technical debt, diverse stakeholder interests. In such an environment, design is a way to organize complexity and lead the system forward without abrupt movements.

A large bank quickly highlights weaknesses: in thinking, in argumentation, in communication, in the ability to work with uncertainty and limitations. It won't be easy. But a mature product mindset grows here: seeing the system as a whole, understanding the consequences of decisions, and finding those that work within this system.

What you'll do

• work within one product vertical of the bank
• receive tasks and requirements directly from the business of your vertical
• design scenarios, interface architecture, roles, states, and transition logic
• work in Agile: planning, iterations, syncs, demos
• improve the system within the given framework, step by step
• be part of the bank's design department: other designers, design lead, Head of Design, common standards
• discuss tasks and attend meetings in English

Who we are looking for

• you can break down a product into levels: goals, constraints, roles, scenarios, dependencies
• you are confident in working with interface architecture, states, and transition logic
• you understand the connection between UX solutions and business logic, processes, and organizational structure
• in a difficult conversation, you rely on arguments and the quality of the solution
• you bring solutions to a state with which the team lives and further develops the product
• you understand your role in the team and maintain professional boundaries

What is important to us

• experience with digital products. Fintech, banking, SaaS, platforms, complex services are a plus
• strong foundation in UX and interface architecture
• experience working in Agile teams and with business
• fluent English, both working and conversational. Communication is in English every day
• attention to detail while ensuring the whole doesn't fall apart
• independence within your area of responsibility

How we work

We speak directly and without ambiguity, but politely. We discuss difficult issues, do not shy away from responsibility, and do not substitute work with activity.

Overtime and chaos are not valued here. The process is structured to work steadily and without burnout. There will be no picnic, however: difficult tasks, system resistance, and decisions that need to be brought to fruition.
