Content Editor for the Press Service

We are looking for a candidate for the position of Content Editor in the Press Service, within the Public Relations Department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Writing texts in various formats for Sechenov University's information resources (website, newspaper, social media)
• Ability to work with a large volume of data
• Experience or interest in medical science topics is welcomed
• Searching for news leads and processing news information received by the Public Relations Department. Adapting materials for website, newspaper, and social media formats
• Interacting with the University's scientific and pedagogical staff (searching for experts, verifying information, approving texts)
• Preparing and editing multimedia content for publications (photos, infographics) in collaboration with designers
• Adapting scientific materials for a broad audience (simplifying terminology, visualizing data)
• Organizing interviews and comments: coordinating dates and formats with speakers, preparing questions
• Ensuring texts comply with Sechenov University's information policy
• Monitoring compliance with Russian Federation legislation in publications (copyright, personal data, etc.)
• Checking texts for uniqueness and factual accuracy before publication

Requirements:

1. Higher education in Journalism/Linguistics/Media/Philology.
2. Experience in education and science, or scientific journalism is welcomed.
3. Experience working in federal-level media is welcomed.
4. Required professional skills and knowledge:
   • Experience in creating content for websites, newspapers, and social media.
   • Experience working with texts (informational and creative, storytelling);
   • Ability to present complex information accessibly, highlight key ideas, and establish a logical structure.
   • Experience in creating popular science texts.
   • Excellent command of the Russian language, proficient written communication.
   • Ability to plan work and perform it in a multitasking environment.
   • Communication skills (ability to listen and be heard, ask questions and understand the task, willingness to solve collective tasks)
