Communications and Information Specialist
We are inviting an engaged and strong specialist to join a socially significant project for the position of Communications and Information Specialist.
If you know how to work with a sensitive agenda, competently convey complex information through clear, well-thought-out texts and messages, as well as events — we are looking for you.
Your responsibilities will include providing information support for the organization's activities: preparing executives for public speaking, shaping the information agenda, as well as planning and coordinating events. This is a job where both precision of wording and organizational skill are important: it is important to get straight to the point — but it is also possible and necessary to achieve significant results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the full cycle of preparation for executives to participate in events: write talking points, prepare presentations, and manage the communication aspect.
- Organize and provide media support for events: briefings, interviews, press conferences, site visits; coordinate the work of film crews and interaction with government agencies.
- Transform complex industry and analytical information into understandable public materials with mandatory fact-checking, verification of figures, and regulatory references.
- Create and adapt text content (press releases, articles, summaries, comments, news) for different audiences and official channels (website, social media).
- Formulate the daily information agenda, develop media plans, identify key news leads, and approve talking points with management.
- Develop an event schedule, as well as prepare, organize, and support high-level business events: strategic sessions, working meetings, round tables, board meetings, conferences, and other formats.
- Monitor the information field (media and social networks) related to the organization's activities, identify risks, and prepare response proposals. Organize and issue press releases.
- Participate in crisis communications: prepare rapid responses to media inquiries, coordinate positions with relevant departments.
- Build internal communications, gather factual information, manage document flow in the electronic document management system (EDMS), monitor task deadlines, and prepare reports.
- Coordinate the work of temporary staff and contractors: assign tasks, control quality and deadlines, and accept deliverables.
Requirements
- Higher education, preferably in journalism, public relations, philology, media communications, or public and municipal administration.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills: the ability to write concisely, clearly, structurally, and in a consistent style without unnecessary words.
- Knowledge of legislative foundations concerning mass media, understanding the specifics of working with sensitive information, and accuracy in fact-checking.
- Experience in successfully developing and organizing events (full cycle), including scheduling, for press and with press participation (filming, briefings, press conferences).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), electronic document management systems (EDMS), and digital analytical tools.
- At least 3 years of experience in PR, press services, media, or editorial work, and media planning skills (experience in government bodies or large state organizations/social projects will be a plus).
- Developed communication skills, ability to negotiate with related departments, and work in a multitasking environment with tight deadlines.
- High stress resistance, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize.
- Understanding the specifics of covering sensitive topics and issues for different audiences, willingness to learn and use internal standards for working with them.
