Tech Lead for the HRDWH Team
About the Team
We are the team that transforms people data into key business solutions for Avito. We create and develop the core of HR data — a reliable and understandable source on which strategic HR decisions are made, reports for top management are built, and complex processes are automated. Our goal is to give the business a powerful tool for analyzing and managing its most important asset — people.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the team (2 DE + 1 SA) and setting the development direction;
- Establishing the process of working with stakeholders (HR analysts);
- Managing the backlog and development of the data warehouse;
- Ensuring total Data Quality (from source to data mart);
- Designing architecture and protecting data: analyzing sources, structuring layers (RAW -> ODS -> DDS), and developing the role-based model (RLS).
We expect you to have:
- Experience in team management or tech leadership: you can conduct high-quality code reviews (SQL/Python), establish CI/CD processes, and are ready to take responsibility for the team's results;
- Expertise in DWH/Data Lake: deep understanding of architecture (layers, modeling), experience with Trino, Greenplum, or complex installations of PostgreSQL/MSSQL;
- A systematic approach to quality (DQ): you don't just filter "bad" data, but build monitoring and validation processes to eliminate errors in critical reports;
- Skills in systems analysis and working with BI: the ability to understand the logic of a source system, design a data model, and help analysts optimize their queries and dashboards (Redash/Superset);
- Work with sensitive data: strict understanding of privacy principles, PII, and experience in setting up complex access rights;
- Experience with Trino, Redash, Airflow;
- Understanding of the HR domain.
Working with us means:
- The opportunity to implement your ideas in a project with a multi-million audience;
- A talented team ready to support your initiatives;
- Powerful hardware, additional monitors, and everything needed for productive work;
- A transparent bonus system, a decent salary — we will discuss the amount during the interview;
- A personal training budget that can be spent on books, courses, and conferences;
- Care for health: from day one, you will have VHI (voluntary health insurance) including dentistry; a therapist and a masseur are available in the office;
- A wonderful office two minutes from Belorusskaya metro station: a panoramic view of the city center, places for private work, and relaxation areas.
