Technical Product Manager — Payments
Published June 15, 2026
We are building a B2C mobile app focused on well-being (a mix of an AI therapist and Brain Fitness).
Fully vibe-coded — we don't have developers in the traditional sense, but it's a working product with live users and growing revenue.
We have a complex payment architecture: various payment gateways, orchestration, and billing. This requires constant work: improving success rates, controlling fraud, reducing fees, integrating local payment methods, and running experiments on the checkout process.
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager — Payments who will take full ownership of this area. The most important qualities are a strong analytical mind, analytical skills, and a willingness to dive into operations. If you have deep expertise in payments, that's excellent; if not, but you're a quick learner and eager to take on payments entirely, we still encourage you to apply.
What needs to be done:
- Increase AR / payment success rates
- Configure orchestration (Primer and similar tools) for optimal success rates and lower costs
- Implement local payment methods in various countries
- Handle disputes and chargebacks
- Conduct A/B tests on the checkout process and analyze their impact on success rates and Fraud Rate
- Analyze all of this — AR by banks/BINs/methods, dispute rate, costs (SQL + Metabase)
- Negotiate contracts with payment providers, monitor and optimize fees
What is important:
- Strong analytical skills — the ability to break down a problem into numbers and calculate them yourself
- Experience with growth experiments and A/B tests — ability to formulate hypotheses, measure impact, and draw conclusions
- SQL and BI (or a quick willingness to learn them) — to calculate metrics yourself, not waiting for an analyst
- Willingness to handle operations and see tasks through to completion — we are a small team with no lengthy approval processes
- Attention to detail and curiosity — enjoying understanding how things work under the hood
- Technical mindset — not afraid of APIs, dashboards, integrations
- AI-native mindset. Working with Claude Code / Codex is a must-have
- Interest in payments and a desire to become an expert in them
Will be a plus (but not required):
- Experience in operational payment handling
- Understanding of card payment success rates and influencing factors
- Experience with an orchestrator or multiple PSPs simultaneously
- Experience negotiating fees and contracts with payment providers
Why our vacancy is top:
- Full control over the payments direction and direct collaboration with the founders
- Working at the cutting edge of technology — the most modern AI solutions, you will learn a lot
- Salary in dollars, operating in a global market, remote work
- Flexible schedule, full-time
