About Us:
We are Rooh Co., a dynamic team building mobile and web applications in the Lifestyle, Health, and Utilities niches. Our products help users solve everyday tasks, inspire them, and simplify their lives. We are focused on the global market, with an emphasis on the USA, and strive to create innovative solutions using modern technologies.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage billing infrastructure and subscription model:
– Own the full billing cycle – from checkout to recurring payments and handling declines – Design retry logic: intervals, amounts, routing by decline codes – Manage multi-PSP architecture – build logic for switching between providers – Develop payment integrations – Apple Pay, MPAN, network tokens, account updater, etc.
2. Analyze data and optimize monetization metrics
– Track and improve Authorization Rate (CIT/MIT), Recovery Rate, Chargeback Ratio by bank, country, and payment method – Identify points of loss – which decline codes are dominant, where retry is not working, where revenue is lost – Formulate and test hypotheses for improving billing logic, measure the financial impact of each change – Maintain regular reporting on payment metrics with alerts for deviations
3. Develop and implement billing strategy
– Design subscription flows – trials, subscriptions, upsells, reactivations, offers on payment failure – Launch A/B tests on billing parameters – payment timing, amounts, offer sequences – Collaborate with marketing and product to develop retention and LTV growth mechanics
4. Provide operational support for billing
– Monitor VAMP ratio, fraud, and chargeback rate – take measures before hitting Visa and Mastercard penalty thresholds – Communicate with PSPs (Adyen, Stripe, etc.) – features, compliance requests, escalations – Prepare transactional reports for accounting when necessary
Requirements:
– Deep understanding of the payment ecosystem – know how CIT/MIT transactions work, understand decline codes and their causes, are familiar with PSPs (Adyen, Stripe, etc.), and understand Visa and Mastercard scheme rules. – Ability to work with data independently – can take a raw transaction dataset, find information/problems within it, formulate a hypothesis, and see it through to completion (SQL or Python at a level sufficient to not depend on an analyst for basic tasks). – Product thinking with a focus on money – think in terms of revenue and losses, not tasks and features. – Independence in decision-making – initiate and propose solutions yourself, and bring them to fruition without constant approvals. – Experience in communicating between technical and non-technical teams.
Will be a plus if:
– You have experience in a subscription business with a high volume of recurring payments. – You have worked directly with Adyen or Stripe at a product level. – You have already solved problems related to reducing chargeback rate or improving Authorization Rate – have specific cases with measurable results.
Conditions:
– Flexibility – remote work with a flexible schedule. The result, not the location, is what matters! – Impact – your ideas genuinely change the product and processes. – Energetic and supportive environment – a team that values initiative, helps you grow, and achieves goals together. – 15 working days of vacation and 4 Sick Days – time for rest and перезагрузка (recharge). – Transparent processes – minimal bureaucracy, maximum opportunities. – Modern stack – we use the best tools to achieve our goals. – Employment – contract with a foreign company (Europe) in Belarus, via individual entrepreneurship or incubators for other countries.
