We are seeking a Product Director for the trading company LOUIS+.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Formulate the product vision and development strategy of the company, taking into account market trends, customer needs, the competitive environment, and technological development.
- Conduct an audit of the current product portfolio: evaluate the demand, profitability, competitiveness, lifecycle, and development potential of each product line.
- Determine portfolio development priorities: which products to develop, upgrade, launch into new segments, optimize by cost, or discontinue.
- Develop and defend the product roadmap for the medium and long term.
- Ensure portfolio balance between products for different market segments, project solutions, key clients, and new directions.
- Manage the product lifecycle: from idea and development to mass production, sales, support, updates, and discontinuation.
- Organize regular analysis of the security systems market, technologies, competitors, pricing models, sales channels, and customer requirements.
- Identify the needs of key segments: B2B customers, integrators, distributors, government and corporate clients, facility infrastructure.
- Organize feedback collection from sales, integrators, end-users, etc.
- Formulate product hypotheses, test them before mass production and scaling.
- Develop requirements for new products, modifications, and digital services based on market needs, client requirements, and company strategy.
- Manage the product creation process: concept, technical specification, development, prototyping, testing, certification, production launch, and market release.
- Ensure the connection between market requirements, technical capabilities, production limitations, and product economics.
- Prioritize initiatives based on market potential, revenue, margin, deadlines, risks, and strategic significance.
- Define the composition of product lines and their alignment with different customer segments and sales channels.
- Ensure the availability of up-to-date technical and commercial documentation: datasheets, manuals, specifications, drawings, presentations, and catalogs.
- Manage certification issues and product compliance with mandatory requirements.
- Develop pricing strategy by product lines, segments, and sales channels.
- Participate in calculating the cost of new products, optimizing costs, and increasing portfolio margins.
- Conduct regular analysis of product portfolio performance and make decisions on development, revision, or discontinuation of products.
- Formulate financial forecasts for product areas and justify investments in development and launch.
Important for the Role:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a product management role as a Product Director.
- Experience in manufacturing or supplying technically complex products in the fields of security systems, video surveillance, access control systems (ACS), fire safety, industrial automation, telecommunications, or electronics.
- Understanding of the full product lifecycle: from idea and development to production, certification, sales, service, and discontinuation.
- Experience in managing a product portfolio, assortment, pricing, and product economics.
- Ability to work with technical teams, production, procurement, quality assurance, and sales departments.
- Experience in launching new products and bringing them to market.
- Skills in analyzing the market, competitors, customer needs, and commercial effectiveness.
- Understanding of certification processes, technical regulation, and product quality requirements.
- Developed product thinking, interest in innovation.
