The corporate research and design institute SakhalinNIPI Oil and Gas is recruiting candidates for the position of Chief Specialist of the Department of Historical, Cultural, and Archaeological Survey (Archaeologist) due to staff expansion at the branch.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting field archaeological work (archaeological reconnaissance) independently or as part of a field team.
• Preparing reporting (for submission to GIKЭ) and scientific (to the Department of Pre-Imperial History, Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences) documentation.
• Interaction with authorized state bodies in the field of protection of cultural heritage.

Requirements:

• Higher professional education in History, Archaeology, Museum Studies, or related fields.
• Experience in obtaining open permits for conducting field archaeological work in areas of economic development in the Urals Federal District (preferably Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, Google Earth, QGIS, SAS Planet, etc.
