Manager of Cross-Functional Geo Development Team
Yandex Taxi is the third largest ride-hailing service in the world. Every day our service facilitates millions of rides in dozens of countries. Our team develops technologies that help users get where they need to go quickly and safely, make cities more modern, and life more comfortable.
The Geo team creates solutions for finding the best pick-up and drop-off points for passengers and builds algorithms for determining user location. In addition, we are developing the geoplatform that underlies Taxi, Delivery, Scooters, Lavka, Food, Drive, and other services.
Establishing the development process Your main mission is to establish an effective development process and collaboration with the ML team to quickly and efficiently create complex features, as well as solve complex platform and analytical tasks. You will also need to build the process for delivering new product features from idea to production.
Team Management You will manage a cross-functional team of 12-15 people: iOS, Android, and backend developers. You will be involved in hiring, development, collecting feedback, and conducting performance reviews of employees.
Forming a technical development plan You will have to choose technologies for future features, develop and maintain quality metrics, optimize development processes and CI/CD, and develop platform microservices and APIs for integration with other teams.
