StroyMax Engineering Company is looking for a Financial Director to help build a transparent financial management system for reaching new heights.
StroyMax is an engineering company that creates the invisible framework of comfort. They design and install engineering systems (HVAC, heating, plumbing) for residential complexes, public spaces, and industrial facilities.
What they offer:
- Strategic Influence: direct participation in company management and key decision-making with the owner;
- Competitive Compensation: competitive salary + quarterly bonus based on performance. Final income is discussed with the final candidate;
- Comfortable Environment: office in the center of Yekaterinburg, parking, modern workspace;
- Development: promising training programs, corporate events, and team outings;
- Stability: official employment from day one, timely payments;
- Management: an economist reporting to you.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Partnership:
- Analysis of the company's financial model and identification of profit growth opportunities. You don't just record facts, you propose solutions: "How can we earn more on this project?", "Where are we losing margin?", "How can we optimize taxes legally?" ;
- Participation in strategic sessions with the owner. Translating business ideas into numbers (NPV, ROI, payback period).
Project Profitability Management:
- In-depth analysis of the economics of each contract at the tender stage. Your task is to protect the company's margin before signing the contract;
- Post-project analysis: identifying the real reasons for deviations between planned and actual results, and implementing corrective measures for future projects.
Optimization of Cash Flow and Working Capital:
- Accounts Receivable Management (working with KS-2/KS-3 forms): reducing the cash collection cycle from customers;
- Accounts Payable Optimization: using factoring and banking instruments to free up cash flow.
Building a Transparent Management Accounting System:
- Implementation of reporting that shows a true picture of the business by projects, divisions (HVAC, plumbing), and responsibility centers;
- Automation of data collection (1C, BI dashboards) so that the owner can see key metrics in real-time, not at the end of the month.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Instilling a culture of financial discipline in all departments. Training non-financial managers in the basics of budgeting;
- Strict control of budget execution and initiating actions in case of deviations.
Candidate Expectations:
- Experience: from 5 years as a Financial Director or Head of the Financial Department. Experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing will be an advantage.
Hard Skills:
- Deep understanding of the specifics of project financing and accounting in construction (KS-2, KS-3 forms, marginality);
- Experience in building a management accounting and budgeting system "from scratch" or its deep transformation;
- Advanced MS Excel user (financial modeling), experience with 1C: Accounting, 1C: Payroll;
- BI system skills (Power BI, Tableau) are welcome.
Soft Skills:
- Strategic Thinking: ability to see the big picture and connect numbers with business objectives;
- Communication: ability to explain complex financial concepts to the owner and heads of non-financial departments in an understandable language;
- Systemic Approach and Responsibility: the principle of "I will do it" rather than "it just happened";
- Honesty and Ethics: the highest standards of professional ethics;
- Business Acumen: you know how to find opportunities for savings and profit increase where others see only limitations. You are proactive, not reactive;
- Negotiation Skills: ability to defend the company's financial interests persuasively with customers (regarding payments);
- Analytical Depth: ability not just to compile a report, but to draw conclusions from it and propose a concrete action plan.
