Responsibilities:
- Forming and implementing the company's long-term technical strategy in line with business goals
- Defining the technology stack and development standards for current and future products
- Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the IT infrastructure and educational platforms
- Controlling the full product development cycle: from prototype to implementation and support
- Managing the technical team (developers, engineers): recruitment, motivation, competency development, task assignment, and performance monitoring
- Interacting with product teams, business units, and external partners to align technical requirements and integrate solutions
- Monitoring technological trends in education and implementing innovations
Requirements:
- Education: Higher technical (information technology, computer science, applied mathematics, or related fields)
- Experience: at least 5 years in leading technical positions (CTO, Head of Engineering, etc.), including experience managing teams of 20–30 people
- Industry experience: preferably in EdTech, educational platforms, or large high-load web services (fintech, e-commerce, etc.)
- Deep understanding of modern digital technologies and products
- Understanding of modern architectures (microservices, cloud native, event driven)
- Experience in building high-load fault-tolerant systems (SLA ≥ 99.9%)
- Experience in designing and successfully implementing a company's technical strategy
- Experience in implementing generative AI into products, including educational ones (working with LLMs (GPT-like models, Llama, Mistral, etc.) for creating chatbots, virtual mentors, content generators)
- Deep understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and risks of using generative AI in EdTech
- Understanding of responsible AI principles (Explainable AI, Fairness, Privacy-Preserving ML), including the safe use of AI in products aimed at children and teenagers
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Budgeting and IT cost optimization skills
- Successful experience in establishing processes within teams (code review, release cycles, etc.)
- Soft skills: leadership qualities, strategic thinking, strong communication skills (including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders), teamwork, results orientation
