Vostochnaya Gornorudnaya Kompaniya is looking for a Technical Director to help take the company's technical function to the next level.
Who they are looking for:
- They need someone who can build architecture, create strong engineering teams, develop technological strategy, and help the company create modern B2B products.
- They expect the CTO to own the company's technical vision, make architectural decisions, define the technology stack, and implement best development practices. A separate focus of the role is the use of AI and agent technologies as an integral part of the company's current and future products.
- Responsibility includes the technical organization of development, architecture, DevOps, data management, and team tech leads. Under management is a team of about 10 people, including team leads and specialists in various development areas.
Tasks:
- Formulate and implement the company's technical strategy
- Build a modern architecture for products and platforms
- Make key architectural decisions considering development speed and long-term solution stability
- Develop engineering culture and development processes
- Manage engineering teams
- Increase development speed and reduce Time to Market
- Ensure product stability, reliability, and scalability
- Integrate AI, LLM, and agent technologies into the company's product strategy
- Interact with client technical teams and justify chosen architectural solutions
- Participate in the development of the company's B2B products and their technological evolution
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as CTO, Head of Engineering, Chief Architect, or technical leader of a major development area
- Managed engineering teams of 5-7 people or more
- Experience in creating and developing B2B products
- Made architectural decisions and are responsible for their production outcomes
- Understand modern software development approaches and engineering organization structures
- Experience implementing technological solutions in a corporate environment
- Well-versed in modern development technologies, architectural approaches, and the open-source ecosystem
- Understand the capabilities and limitations of modern AI solutions, LLMs, and agent systems
- Ability to balance development speed with architectural quality
- Capable of building processes that make products easy to develop and maintain in the long term
- Strong communication skills and the ability to discuss technical solutions with both developers and clients
- Experience in startups, fast-growing B2B companies, or international technology projects will be an advantage
- Experience working with international teams and markets will be an advantage
