Salary Range: 7,500 — 12,500 USD (negotiable)

We are looking for a CEO for a crypto-infrastructure company being established in Armenia, which is currently preparing a package of documents for a license from the Central Bank. The project is backed by an existing group of companies with its own ecosystem. A bank, a payment system, and a broker are already within the scope. They will become the first partners and sources of initial client flows.

The preparation team is already assembled: two financial analysts with experience in licensing crypto companies, two local lawyers with experience working with the Central Bank of Armenia, a compliance officer, and a trusted outsourced technical team.

Product: The first product is a crypto wallet on a payment platform: wallet creation and top-up, fiat ↔️ crypto exchange, fund custody, transfers and recurring payments, and exchange integration. The launch targets individuals in Armenia with flows from a partner bank. The next step is to enter international markets, with the USA and Asia as priorities. The next phase will involve an investment function through a broker.

Responsibilities

• Finalize the product line and budget, and submit documents for a license to the Central Bank of Armenia;
• Work with ecosystem partners of the group to obtain letters of guarantee, which are important for the license;
• Make necessary amendments to the project's business plan and financial model;
• After document submission, form a team tailored to the defined product line;
• Build external partnerships and launch the company into markets beyond the ecosystem — including the competitive Armenian market, where banks already have their own crypto partners.

Requirements

• Management experience of at least 5 years — leading teams and projects;
• Experience in finance — banking, payment services, fintech. A deep crypto background is not mandatory;
• Startup mindset: readiness to build processes from scratch with your own hands;
• Willingness to relocate to Yerevan.

Will be a plus:

• Product management background with a transition to CEO;
• Experience in launching or licensing in a regulated financial environment;
• Experience in negotiations with banks, brokers, and payment systems.
