Production, Procurement, and Inventory Manager

Periodika is a printing service for photobooks and other print products to preserve family stories.

We are looking for a manager with real experience in managing inventory and procurement of physical products. It is important to be confident in using Excel / Google Sheets, be able to independently calculate needs, control inventory levels, and solve problems with production and suppliers.

Experience in polygraphy will be a big advantage.

This position is not about digital products or project coordination: you will be responsible for the material product — from materials and production to quality and delivery.

What you will do

• Manage inventory and procurement: control inventory levels, forecast needs, plan purchases considering sales and seasonality.
• Work with the printing house: control deadlines and quality, deal with defects and claims, ensure that the causes of problems are eliminated.
• Work with suppliers and production facilities: find alternatives, compare prices and conditions, negotiate.
• Launch new physical products: search for production facilities and materials, get samples, calculate costs, bring the product to launch.
• Control operational issues of logistics (handling claims), consumables, and contractors.
• Establish order in processes: create clear spreadsheets, control points, and work rules.

What is mandatory for us

• Inventory management experience: you personally calculated what, how much, and when to buy.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills: formulas, pivot tables, working with exports and a large number of SKUs.
• Experience in procurement and working with suppliers or production contractors.
• Production of packaging, merchandise, or other physical goods;
• Ability to work with numbers: costs, inventory levels, deadlines, cost price.
• Proactiveness: upon discovering a problem, you investigate the causes and come up with solutions, rather than just passing it on to your manager.

Will be a big plus

• Experience in polygraphy or publishing production;
• Experience in seasonal inventory planning;
• Experience launching new physical products;
• Finding and connecting new production facilities.

How we work

5/2 office at Kuznetsky Most. The production facility is about 30 minutes from the office, with visits approximately 2-3 times a month.

This is an independent role: we will provide context, goals, and authority, but we will not write step-by-step instructions for every action.
