Procurement and Inventory Planning Manager | Marketplaces, China

AkTs is an e-commerce company. We develop sales of carpets and home goods on marketplaces.

We are looking for a specialist who will be responsible not just for placing orders, but for the systematic management of procurement and inventory.

You will work at the intersection of procurement, inventory analytics, and forecasting: analyze data, calculate needs, and independently make decisions about what, when, and in what volume to purchase.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales, stock levels, and turnover
• Forecast needs and plan purchases
• Formulate orders to suppliers, taking into account production and delivery times, and current inventory levels
• Control order fulfillment and product readiness dates
• Work with suppliers from China: coordinate volumes, terms, and conditions
• Develop the inventory planning and analytics system
• Identify optimization points for inventory and procurement

What we are looking for

We need a person who can not just work in ready-made tables, but independently build calculation models, analyze data, and make decisions based on them.

Required:

• Experience in procurement for marketplaces and working with suppliers from China
• Experience in inventory management and procurement planning
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets: ability to independently build calculation models, work with large data sets, complex formulas, and automate calculations
• Ability to forecast demand and justify decisions with numbers
• Negotiation and business communication skills with suppliers
• Experience communicating with the Foreign Economic Activity (FEA) department to organize delivery and successful customs clearance
• Experience communicating with Accounting regarding payment processing through agents and directly when paying to China

Will be a big plus:

• Power BI — ability to independently create dashboards and set up analytics, not just work with ready-made reports
• Use of AI in work — ChatGPT, Claude, and other tools for data analysis, automation, and acceleration of work processes
• Experience in automating calculations and reporting
• 1C, MPStats, Moneyplace, and other analytical services
• ABC/XYZ analysis, working with seasonality and forecasting
• English — at a level sufficient for business correspondence with suppliers

Selection process

A test assignment is given to candidates whose resumes have passed our initial selection and truly meet our objectives. This means your experience is already of interest to us and we are considering you as a potential employee.

The test assignment is as close as possible to the actual tasks of the position: analysis of sales and stock levels, demand forecasting, and purchase calculation.

The test assignment is completed before the first interview. After completion, an interview will be held to discuss your experience, approach to work, and the results of the assignment.
