The Hoff retail chain is looking for a Head of Margin Improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Margin control and analysis: regular by TG/NG; promo margin, promo mechanics effectiveness
- Calculation, approval, and control of margin targets at the product group and SKU group levels
- Development and implementation of margin improvement initiatives: price changes, discount optimization, price architecture management, price ladders (in collaboration with the commercial department)
- Conducting pricing experiments: hypothesis formation, scenario calculation, results analysis, and conclusion/recommendation preparation
- Monitoring the company's price position relative to competitors, initiating price changes based on monitoring
- Participation in the formation and execution of the company's pricing strategy
- Preparation of regular analytical reports on margin and effectiveness of pricing decisions
- Interaction with the commercial department and procurement on pricing and margin issues
- Initiating changes in pricing processes to increase transparency and margin manageability
Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years of experience in pricing/commercial analytics/finance/margin management (ideally in retail)
- Understanding of margin formation principles: regular, promo, impact of discounts and campaign mechanics
- Ability to work with large datasets, draw conclusions and recommendations, perform factor analysis, work with cubes
- Skills in financial modeling and target alignment
- Systemic thinking and process building skills, experience in process regulation
- Cross-functional interaction skills (commercial department, procurement, marketing, data analytics)
- Ability to defend decisions with arguments, work with uncertainty
