We are expanding our team and looking for a CTO to take on technological leadership in the R&D department, which focuses on the design and development of new products.
Responsibilities:
- define the project's technical architecture and select the technology stack, considering project goals and team resources;
- estimate the timelines and complexity of implementing game features;
- lead programmer teams (gameplay, engine, graphics, AI, networking, tools), control code quality, implement development standards, conduct code reviews;
- collaborate closely with game designers for technical gameplay support, interact with artists to implement visual solutions, coordinate with sound designers and the production team;
- assess technical risks at all stages of development, prepare estimates and control the project budget, monitor deadlines and efficient resource utilization;
- provide expert support to the team on complex technical issues, optimize the performance of game systems and the engine;
- establish and maintain standards, organize training and mentorship for the team.
We expect:
- 3+ years of experience with similar tasks as a Technical Director;
- expert skills with Unreal Engine and/or Unity game engines;
- deep knowledge of C++ and C# programming languages;
- understanding of game engine architecture, network technologies, and gameplay development specifics;
- understanding of the full game production cycle — from prototype to release and post-production;
- successful experience in managing development teams and mentorship skills;
- ability to make strategic decisions and take responsibility for the project's technological outcome;
- monitoring trends in game development and technologies, readiness to implement innovations in work processes.
It will be a plus if you have:
- participated in the development and release of commercial game projects (AAA/AA/indie);
- experience optimizing performance for various platforms (PC, consoles, mobile devices);
- familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems (Git), and bug tracking systems.
