Development Team Lead for the Communications Team
About the team: Seller to Buyer Communications (SBC) is a product that provides discount and special offer mailings. The product has been around for 3 years, with dedicated teams working on it for the last 2. Currently, SBC's audience is 160,000 paying sellers per month with a service load of 3,000 RPM. We are in an active phase of development and scaling: developing new features, improving architecture and performance.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage the team: establish and develop processes, be responsible for the growth of agile, technical metrics, and quality;
- Manage projects (set goals, help the team achieve them, track the backlog, communicate with internal customers);
- Accompany the full product lifecycle from idea and architecture elaboration to deployment and production support;
- Work on projects and tasks as a developer (sometimes even write code);
- Participate in the formation and achievement of goals and tasks for the quarter - half-year - year horizon;
- Develop employees: assist in achieving career goals and solving problems, jointly create and maintain individual development plans, evaluate during performance reviews;
- Develop the team: plan hiring, interview and hire candidates, onboard newcomers into processes and the project.
We expect you to have:
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and their successful development;
- Experience in Backend development (Go, Java, or C#) at a senior developer level;
- Actively participate in the development and review of architectural solutions, and the code quality written by developers;
- Ability to plan initiatives with a horizon of up to six months and know what to do if something goes wrong;
- Love and be able to develop people's strengths, based on individual motivation;
- Be ready for regular interaction with other functions and teams.
