About the Project
Lookstream is a social commerce ecosystem: a social network where products are embedded in the DNA of content. The design concept is created with a sense of high fashion, art, and artistic value of content.
We are at the MVP stage: design mockups are already available, and now it's important to turn them into a perfectly thought-out, consistent, and truly working product system that the development team can quickly and error-free implement on iOS/Android.
Role
You will be the sole and lead designer for the project at the MVP stage: responsible for UX/UI across all product sections, the design system, and implementation quality. After the MVP, the team will grow – you will set the standards and processes, and be able to lead the team.
Responsibilities (what needs to be done)
1) End-to-End UX/UI Ownership
- Maintain interface integrity across all domains: content, profiles, sellers/catalog, products, cart/orders, chat, rewards/balance.
- Develop end-to-end scenarios and edge cases: errors, empty states, poor network, payment cancellations, delivery/return statuses.
2) Design System and Scalability
- Maintain and develop the design system (components, tokens, states, usage rules).
- Perform engineering-accurate handoff: autolayout, variants, naming, specifications, asset export.
3) UI/UX QA and Release Quality Control
- Regularly check iOS/Android builds for compliance with mockups and logic.
- Identify UX bugs and inconsistencies, create tickets, and ensure fixes.
4) Development of Complex Product Mechanics
- Product tagging (ability to tag products in content).
- Order threads in messenger: chats linked to orders, system statuses, content forwarding.
5) Research and Conversion Improvement
- Quick usability tests on prototypes, interviews with sellers/buyers.
- Work with product analytics: identify "friction points" in the content → product → order funnel.
What you need to be able to do
- Strong product design (mobile first), ability to think in scenarios and systematically.
- Experience in creating/managing design systems and working in Figma at the components/variants/tokens level.
- Ability to work with development: handoff, iterations, quality control.
- Ability to make decisions independently and keep a large product scope "in mind".
- Attention to detail + ability to not get lost in details (prioritization).
Will be a plus
- Experience in social / UGC / messenger / e-commerce / marketplace.
- Understanding of rewards / affiliate logic mechanics.
- Motion / micro-interactions.
What we offer
- Key "first designer" role in a product with great potential.
- Opportunity to build the design function from scratch and become Head of Design as the team grows.
- Direct influence on the product, close collaboration with the CEO, CPO, and a strong technical team.
- Work format: remote.
- Employment: full-time.
How to apply
Please send:
- link to portfolio is mandatory (especially mobile products)
- 2-3 case studies showcasing: scenarios, system, iterations, impact on metrics
- briefly: why social commerce interests you
