Head of Product Analytics Team at Yandex Pay
Yandex Pay is a unified service for managing money, one of the key areas in the entire fintech sector. It is a profitable and secure way to solve key financial tasks: * pay for goods and services online with a card from any Russian bank and receive Yandex Plus points — an extra 1% on all purchases in addition to the cashback from your main bank * pay offline with the Yandex Pay digital card — via NFC or QR * split payments for goods — interest-free for two months or up to 2 years with favorable terms and no down payment * receive daily payouts from Savings — savings accounts with a 13% rate for the first three months * pay for purchases on partner websites or at offline checkouts with cashback or split payments.
Currently, we are developing the service in three directions: * improving each Yandex Pay product/feature in distribution and the user experience of interacting with it, both in the app and when paying on websites and offline * actively promoting a B2B solution to the market, which helps many large companies in the Russian market increase sales conversions, both online and offline * improving the loyalty offer for our users
We have ambitious growth plans, a strong team of managers, and many interesting analytical tasks. We are looking for a strong lead who will head the direction and the product analytics team of Yandex Pay in fintech.
What tasks await you
- Establishing product analytics processes for a large area: backlog collection and prioritization, forming medium- and long-term analytics goals based on business focus, and being responsible for the result
- Communicating with a large number of stakeholders: managers of various product parts, marketing, sales, and operations teams
- Processing colleagues' ideas for product improvement: grounding them into specific analytical tasks, assessing their potential impact on the business
- Improving data quality: analysts still process some data directly without DWH involvement, and you will need to improve and maintain these processes
- Interacting with the DWH team to ensure all data ends up in the data warehouse
We expect you to
- Have managed a product analytics team. We already have a team of strong analysts that you will lead and grow
- Know how to break down business into specific metrics: understand which ones are important and which are not and why, know what quality product reporting should look like
- Be able to think structurally about data, write high-quality Python code and SQL queries for data processing
- Understand what's under the hood of A/B testing: how to run tests and make decisions based on their results
- Have an idea of how DWH team processes work, be able to act as its customer and receive high-quality data as output
- Have your own point of view, know how to defend it and competently manage colleagues' expectations
