Product Manager (Women's Clothing)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Creating an assortment matrix, considering prices, order depths, deadlines, product lifecycle, and other attributes;
- Creating article numbers and maintaining product cards in PLM;
- Developing principles for order calculation by department (size curves, price levels, markup);
- Making decisions on placing orders for models;
- Approving orders for models;
- Reacting promptly to changing conditions in the fashion market, focusing on supply and demand, and adjusting product launch dates based on client needs;
- Identifying and deciding on products that align with positioning and target client needs;
- Analyzing the target market and client preferences;
- Identifying commercially successful trends in the global fashion industry (runways, street style, color palettes, WGSN, competitor market research, supplier proposals, feedback from product/store managers, and consumers);
- Defining pricing strategy according to product positioning and the company's financial goals;
- Cross-functional interaction with the development team to create collections;
- Conducting briefs for the team on target client needs;
- Monitoring adherence to the business calendar;
- Ensuring the commercial development of the department;
- Daily monitoring and analysis of sales performance in collaboration with the commercial controller, to enable prompt response to market conditions by category:
- Bestselling items that require prompt reordering,
- Low-performing colorways/families/trends to reduce or cancel future development;
- Attending exhibitions with the buyer and designer to find new models;
- In collaboration with the department's commercial controller:
- Preparing and approving the sales and purchasing budget at the department/family/colorway level,
- Preliminary budget allocation corresponding to sales needs by model and week,
- Weekly monitoring of department budget execution,
- Deciding on the first discount;
- Working with the team, distributing and monitoring task execution, setting goals, providing feedback;
- Managing the assigned budget for the division.
WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
- Expertise in sales planning and forecasting methods;
- Understanding of women's clothing trends and the fashion industry;
- Knowledge of the mass-market and fast fashion specifics;
- Over 5 years of experience in a commercial department or the fashion industry in a similar role;
- English language proficiency at C1 level;
- MS Office, proficient user of Excel;
- Business communication and cross-functional interaction skills;
- Retail network experience will be an advantage.
