A Happywear clothing brand is looking for a Product Director.
What you will do:
Product strategy and assortment:
- Develop assortment matrices and form collections in accordance with the production schedule.
- Analyze the competitive environment, monitor consumer demand and trends.
- In-depth seasonal sales analysis (down to SKU level) to adjust the matrix for future seasons.
Production and procurement (SEA):
- Place orders with factories in Southeast Asian countries. Control of purchase prices, sewing quality, and adherence to shipment deadlines.
- Manage the full cycle: from sampling and cost calculation to acceptance of finished products.
- Negotiate with suppliers to improve commercial terms (payment deferrals, new payment tracking).
Finance and profitability:
- Achieve planned financial performance of the brand.
- Control the incoming product margin and develop a markdown/promotion strategy considering the competitive environment.
- Budgeting, forecasting production schedules, and managing cash flow (including order adjustments when the financial plan changes).
Product lifecycle management:
- Develop and control the production schedule and the schedule for collections entering all sales channels.
- Track sales and manage the lifecycle of each collection and each item.
Team and presentations:
- Manage a department of up to 36 people: recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance appraisal.
- Conduct collection presentations before placing orders and for sales channels (defend orders before stakeholders).
Key requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in product management in fashion retail (clothing, footwear, accessories).
- Experience working with factories in Southeast Asian countries (Uzbekistan, China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, etc.) is mandatory.
- Strong financial competencies: understanding of unit economics, profitability, cost management.
- Skills in forecasting and assortment management (matrices, planograms).
- Experience managing a large department (20+ people) with full HR process cycle.
- Willingness to travel to production sites.
