VTB is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for its foreign branch.
Responsibilities:
- Organization and management of the bank's financial function: financial planning, management reporting, analysis of financial results, and control of key performance indicators;
- Preparation and support of the bank's business plan, forecasts, and scenario calculations for P&L and Balance Sheet;
- Identification of client segments and organization of segment reporting preparation in accordance with Group requirements;
- Development, validation, and support of financial models, including assessment of the impact of management decisions on the bank's financial results and capital;
- Participation in the creation and development of methodologies for management accounting, financial planning, allocation of income/expenses by segments and products, and business efficiency assessment;
- Setup, automation, and control of the financial data collection process, ensuring the quality, completeness, and comparability of data for reporting and analysis in accordance with Group requirements;
- Control of financial reporting preparation in accordance with applicable local Vietnamese and IFRS standards;
- Interaction with the head office on matters of financial planning, management reporting, business indicators, and capital;
- Coordination of interaction with treasury on issues of liquidity, funding, balance sheet structure, and transfer pricing;
- Participation in the analysis of the credit portfolio and key bank risk metrics: reserves, RWA, NPL, cost of risk, and the impact of risks on financial results;
- Interaction with local regulators, supervisory authorities, auditors, and external consultants on matters within the scope of the financial function's responsibility.
Requirements:
- Higher education in finance, economics, accounting, or banking;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer, Deputy CFO, Head of Finance, Head of FP&A, or Head of Financial Function in a bank;
- English language proficiency – B2 level or higher: ability to work with documents, reports, auditors, regulators, and international counterparties;
- Willingness to relocate to Vietnam and work in an international environment;
- Proficient knowledge of IFRS;
- Ability to quickly grasp the local specifics of Vietnamese reporting;
- Experience in financial planning, building management reporting, and factor analysis;
- Ability to independently develop, verify, defend, and approve financial models;
- Understanding of management accounting principles, expense allocation, and business line efficiency assessment;
- Deep understanding of the Bank's financial statements;
- Understanding of the banking balance sheet, capital, net interest margin, and other metrics and indicators;
- Understanding and practical experience in managing credit risks and key bank risk metrics: reserves, RWA, NPL, cost of risk, credit portfolio quality;
- Experience interacting with auditors, regulators, shareholders, head office, and cross-functional departments;
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
