About the Team
Our team is responsible for the uninterrupted operation and development of the Avito messenger. Our mission is to provide users with maximum efficiency in solving their tasks on the platform. To do this, we provide the ability to exchange various types of messages: text, graphics, audio, and video. This allows users to communicate flexibly and conveniently, using all the advantages of the Avito messenger.
The messenger is not only a product for buyers and sellers but also a platform on which other Avito teams and large sellers create numerous automations for their business scenarios.
Examples of future tasks:
- work in a team on common goals, decompose, estimate, and plan implementation work on a horizon of up to one year;
- form plans to improve the technical maturity of the product and manage the team's technical backlog;
- be responsible for the quality of the developed product and the high availability of services under highload;
- identify growth points for employees and help them grow;
- work with team performance metrics and the development of development processes;
- review and defend architectural decisions, be ready to dive into code if necessary;
- work with stakeholders — from coordinating work with other teams to presenting work results.
We expect that you:
- have a deep understanding of architectural patterns and principles for designing complex high-load systems, such as a messenger;
- have worked with a microservice architecture;
- know how to manage development processes, know tools for measuring their effectiveness and ways to improve it;
- possess experience in leading a cross-functional team;
- use a systematic approach in working with people (motivation, development, adaptation);
- have experience managing large projects spanning several quarters;
- are capable of thorough planning and prioritizing your work;
- use systems thinking and can make decisions under uncertainty.
