Investment company BCS World of Investments is looking for an Head of AI R&D Center.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the AI department's research function
- Define research priorities: which models and technologies to study, which experiments to conduct, and which hypotheses to test
- Maintain a balance between promising research and applied tasks of the AI platform
- Systematically track new models, architectures, open-source and commercial products, prepare reviews and recommendations for the product team and management
- Develop the Data Science and ML center of expertise: form teams, set technical standards, validation methodologies, and model evaluation approaches
Requirements:
- We need not an abstract researcher, but a strong applied leader capable of transforming the team's work into real solutions, technical standards, and understandable knowledge for employees
- 5+ years in Data Science or model development, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong foundation in ML and AI: transformers, model fine-tuning, knowledge base systems, multimodal solutions
- Experience with independent research - from hypothesis formulation to practical conclusions
- Industrial experience with LLMs and understanding of the trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality, as well as methods for reducing hallucinations
