Full-stack developer for the Travel Traffic team

The Traffic team does everything to ensure travelers find us easily and quickly. From a product perspective, we work to turn every visit into a booking, and from a technical perspective — we build reliable and fast services capable of withstanding high loads on Yandex's scale.

We are looking for a strong full-stack developer who will help develop organic traffic acquisition for our transportation verticals (air and rail).

What tasks await you

Development on a modern stack You will write code and create services using several languages and technologies at once: Node.js, Go, and Python. We choose the best tools for the specific task.

Development of key products You will support and develop large-scale projects used by millions of people: both the main Yandex Travel web application and the Travel Journal.

Elaboration of technical solutions You will conduct research for new marketing and product projects, laying out the optimal architecture.

Improvement of the technical base We value quality and reliability. You will actively reduce tech debt, optimize current solutions, as well as conduct code reviews and share experience with the team.

We expect that you

• Have excellent knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Confidently work with Node.js
• Have good knowledge of React, understand the principles of global state managers (e.g., Redux)
• Have written code in Go and Python (or know one language and are ready to quickly dive into the other)
• Have a deep understanding of REST API principles and how the HTTP protocol works
• Have worked with Docker for application containerization
• Are proficient in Git

Will be a plus

• Have worked with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Are familiar with in-memory stores (Redis/Valkey)
• Have dealt with the Protobuf data serialization protocol
• Are accustomed to covering code with integration and unit tests
